With a BFA in Creative Writing and English and graduate studies in Film, Business, and PR/Marketing, Philana Marie Boles has been published by mainstream publishers such as Random House, HarperCollins, Penguin/Viking, Amistad, and more including the best-selling pre-teen novel, Little Divas.
Philana has worked as a media relations associate for Glamour Magazine and others and is currently in partnership with multiple film and television productions for TV and film marketing and promotion development.
As a youth talent manager, she has developed acting careers that have led to casting in major TV, film, and commercial productions for ABC, NBC, Disney, Nickelodeon, Netflix, TruTV, and more along with influencer campaigns.
Now, via writing workshops, she will champion teen writers for publication opportunities including anthologies, a global magazine, and a blog.
Also a print and broadcast journalist, Philana’s interviews include major actors, writers, movie producers, and directors such as Academy Award ® winning actress, Rachel McAdams, Literary icon, Judy Blume, Academy Award ® winning producer, James L. Brooks, The cast and director, Chris Robinson, of the Lebron James produced biopic film Shooting Stars, Academy Award ® nominated screenwriter/(director) Jim Capobianco, comedian Jay Pharaoh (and the cast and crew of The Blackening), and more.
Philana's premier ghostwriting has been entrusted with developing and writing memoirs, novels, bios, and numerous non-fiction works for actors, athletes, comedians, singers, politicians, business executives, and reality television personalities.
Based in Los Angeles with a satellite office in Ohio, Philana strives to deliver excellence no matter the goal or geographical distance and is passionate about championing young writers who wish to do the same. Several of Philana's written works (both her byline and ghostwritten) are currently in development for film, TV, or stage production or have been produced.
In addition to writing and developing books, with over 22 years of professional writing experience, she is a deeply devoted dog mom to her American Bully, Bacca.
